Low Poly zombie character done for art test. 1200 polys and one 512X512 texture
This is great, really fun character design. The pompadour is kinda throwing me off though, it's not very mailman-esque, and it seems odd that this guy would have hair, since its one of the first things to fall out/rot off. The blocky hands are great though, I almost want to see an even lower resolution texture to give it that playstation/N64 motif of purposeful simplicity. So many character designs of that time are great, really showing what you can do with really simple stuff when you have too.
thanks for the comments, yeah his hair is crazy. Bald might have been the way to go but I'm pumped you liked the rest.
It might work better if you made it more ragged, or perhaps added something like, I dunno, a mouse crawling around in it, though that would up the poly-count. It looks too fresh, maybe even something as simple as adding some wear and tear to the texture itself would work out well?
